Stylist advises on happy feet for summer fashions
THE great thing about working in the fashion and styling industry is that it keeps you guessing and always surprises.
One such surprise — so book that pedi — is that the high street’s hottest (or should I say coolest!) new sandals are here.
Remember back-to-school ‘dolly sandals’, the cute T-bars from your childhood wardrobe?
Well they’re back and lining the shoe shelves. They are the perfect partner for this season’s must-have denim dresses. Whether open-toed or closed-in-toes, they will see you through the summer.
Or what about slipping on a ‘double-strap’? No self-respecting festival goer will be without a pair of these for walking from the campsite to the stage.
A timeless sandal, if ever we saw one. You can pair them with slinky 90s slip dress or mini skirt or work them with cigarette trousers and a chic blouse.
Or how about on holiday with a metallic finish with your LBD for a relaxed night time outfit instead of staggering along holding onto your partner in high heels?
For those blessed with long-legs get strappy in ‘glads’. Thanks to the big boho revival, gladiators are back this season.
Choose from ‘knee-highs’, not for the faint-hearted but more wearable than you think. They come with buckles, laces or multi-straps. Look fabulous with a feminine dress mini or midi.
Or what about the ‘ankle-grazers’ (the short version of glads) which look great with cut-offs, smocks or dungarees.
Want to be super comfortable? Then your sandal of choice has to be the ‘flatform’. Think spongy foam soles that are at least two inches thick — bliss! Great with your sports-luxe look.

And finally, for a more dressed up look, your sandal of choice should be the ‘demi-block’ which can be worn round-the-clock.
I can’t think of anywhere you can’t wear them — work, weekends, weddings etc. Go for the brights with two or three contrasting shades with embellishment. Have we officially found the perfect shoe?Read more at:sexy evening dresses | prom dresses uk
