Stretch your body to live a happy life

by Martin Jacob Equip2go

Well earlier you must have heard some common sayings like meditation leads to a happy life or balancing both work and home is the reason behind a joyful life. No one can disown the statements as they are perfectly correct, mediation indeed is very helpful in the overall management of the body and of course, the balance of work and home is what we all keep on doing all our life in hope that someday we might strike the balance, which we eventually do after retirement.

But from now on you would also include Stretching in the list of all practices which lead to a happy life. Stretching like meditation is a process that involves both the mind and the body in full concentration, it’s just that in meditation your body remains stationary but in stretching you attain peace by expanding and contracting your muscles. If you want to know in detail why does stretching feel good, read the full article carefully.

Why Stretching makes you feel good?

Stretching provides you with the sensation of relaxation by relaxing your muscles and freeing them from the regular amount of pressure that builds upon them.

Release of Endorphin–Endorphin is a chemical (a neurotransmitter) present in the brain, spinal cord, knees, and several other parts where it is manufactured but stored. This stored endorphin is released when some instructions arrive from the brain like during stretching. For your body the experience of Stretching is new, as it is not used to such rigorous activities, Endorphin after released spreads positivity in the body, and that too without causing any side effects.

Endorphins have the working mechanism of guerrilla tactics; Endorphins on being present inadequate levels in the human body react with the receptors in the cerebrum and make a false image in the memory of the patient by shrinking the perception of pain and stress. And when one’s pain is reduced and alongside widespread positivity in your body, one can surely know why does stretching feel so good.

Higher flexibility has more scope in today’s time

Well, today in the 21st century where employers before hiring an employee want to find someone who has more than one usable property. Not always you are with someone who can take care of you, there you need to be a little elastic and do your household works yourself.

For example, you need to climb up to clean the water tank from inside; you need to call someone to do the job, because the task of cleaning a tank requires you to climb using a ladder, sometimes even going inside the tank itself.

Another situation may be that one fine day you want to play your favorite sport and you haven’t exercised or stretched anytime before. After the game, you suffer from the hamstring, and pain all over the body, this mostly occurs due to the non-movement of the muscles. Your tissues have become fixed in a position and accumulated enough inertia to resist any motion. And suddenly after years, you stretch your body from head to toe, this will surely have some effects on the body.

Some precautions which experts want you to follow before doing stretching

Now you must have understood why stretching makes you feel good but if you overlook the precautions it may because you harm instead of doing good.

·         If it has been quite a long time since you last did stretch, then it is advisable that you not get carried away in your emotions. It’s your first day if you face discomfort doing 30 stretches, no problem, do 20, that’s enough for today never force yourself to perform stretching.

·         If you have a history of some accident or fracture due to which some movements of your body parts are controlled. Then don’t stretch that part, consult your doctor before doing so.
