St.Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program

St.Kitts & Nevis CBI program was started in the year 1984. It is one of the oldest and best Caribbean Citizenship by investment programs. St.Kitts & Nevis is 2-island country which is adorned by beautiful landscapes. The St.Kitts & Nevis Island Citizenship Program provides citizenship to the investor and co-applicants. The future generations of the investor will be provided citizenship through naturalization.

The country doesn’t accept direct application. It requires that the applicant goes through a registered immigration agent to submit application. Someone similar to XIPHIAS Immigration is a must to complete the process. This country has defined 2 pathways for investment for the investor to choose from. One is donation to the Sustainable Growth Fund and the other being investment in pre-approved real estate of the country.

If a single applicant is submitting his/her application for citizenship, then he/she will have to contribute a minimum of USD $150,000 as donation to the Sustainable Growth Fund. If the applicant is applying along with spouse, then an additional USD $25,000 needs to be added. For every additional applicant, a fee of USD $10,000 will be added. These funds will be used by the Government of St.Kitts & Nevis for development work in the country or support Government projects which could include both of commercial and non-commercial interests. There will be an additional due diligence fee of USD $7,500 for the main applicant while the added applicants will have to pay USD $4000 for each person. The sponsor will have to pay USD $4000.

If the applicant decides to go through the Investment in Real Estate path, then the investor will be investing a minimum of USD $400,000 which should be maintained for 5 years and more. If the investor wants, he/she can invest in the shares of the real estate development and the value of such investment will still be USD $400,000. The other option that the investor has is investment of a minimum of USD $200,000 in any of the Government approved luxury Resorts which should be maintained by the investor for a minimum of 7years period.

The whole process takes less than 6 months to complete. At the end of the processing, the applicant will be issued certificate of Citizenship. St.Kitts & Nevis allows dual citizenship. It follows accelerated application processing and hence may be able to issue citizenship within 60 days. Children who are below the age of 30 and parents/grandparents beyond the age of 55 years can become co-applicants. IT doesn’t require the applicant or any of the co-applicants to live or travel to the country at any given point of time. This program has no pre-requisite in terms of education or interviews or any kind of managerial experience. The country’s passport allows the holder to travel to 130+ countries across the globe visa free. The country’s tax regimes are profitable for the investor and it allows no tax on world-wide income of the investor. This tax regime is close to Dominica’s second citizenship program.

The main investor applicant will have to be 18 years and above who doesn’t hold any kind criminal background and is of a strong character. He should have sound health and must be a high net worth individual.
