Steve McCarten Launches Fundraiser Campaign On Kickstarter For His New Film FAITHLESS
Suicide has been the topic of interest to many and there are very few
directors who have made an attempt to make a film on it. FAITHLESS is a
dark thriller directed by Steve McCarten and this film looks at the
tough subject of suicide and the lengths a parent will go to have
revenge for the death of their child. Steve McCarten launches a
fundraiser campaign on Kickstarter for his new film FAITHLESS. This
campaign has been launched with an aim to shoot a proof of a concept
that will enable the production of the feature film. A powerful scene
has been chosen from the main body of the script, and that will be shot
in order to facilitate and demonstrate to future investors who can then
can have a better understanding of the potential of the film. This film
is proud to have a brilliant crew that comprises of Berndt Wiese cinematographer,
Bobby Cole composer, and Katherine Rufli singer. This intense character
driven thriller combines the conventional thriller elements that have
been intertwined with a noir feel to accentuate the starkness.
Only
£2,050 (41% funded) of the pledged goal of £5000 has been raised so far
and Steve has been mentored by the BAFTA-nominated and accomplished
film maker in his own right Tim Clague. Tim Clague recently celebrated
the release of his own feature film Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg which
premiered at the British Film Institute sponsored London Film Festival
and Steve has recently completed production as Line Producer and 1st
Assistant Director on British Horror 'Harbour'.
The funding will
help them to meet the expenses for Arri Amira Camera, Cooke Lenses,
practical effects, camera and dolly, equipment lights, props, wardrobe,
sound equipment etc. While the Arri Amira will ensure that the story can
be distributed to the largest platforms including Amazon Prime and
Netflix, the lenses will give the cameras the best possible images to
record.
