Staycation

Have you ever heard of the word: Staycation? Have you actually wondered what it really means and how this word came about? Well you are in for a treat today if you ever had this question lingering in your mind before.

The word ''Staycation'' in essence is to actually have a holiday or vacation close to where one is usually residing in. Well, you might asked. How is that considered a vacation then? Ok, let me explain. Other than the fact that one is staying close to his/her home, the rest of the itinerary works out pretty close to identical of how a vacation would actually looks like. Visiting of museums; shopping malls; theme parks or other places of attraction that are touristy; having food that one would usually not be trying on a normal day; waking up to the sunrise of the midday and etc.

Staycation is very much popular these days as first; it's a VACATION, albeit closer to home; and more importantly, it costs way less than having to go on an actual holiday trip abroad, with the full travelling expenses in the picture.

We are based in Singapore at the moment. The trends that we are spotting right now with Singapore hotels are very much leaning towards the hard hitting promotions of staycations for the locals.
