SSC SI Application form 2016 Released Soon
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be releasing the advertisement as well as the SSC SI Application form 2016 on 9th January 2016 after which the candidates can fill the Application form Online by visiting the official website of SSC or the direct link hosted here in this space. The examination will be conducted in two parts for the following posts:
• Sub Inspector in CAPFs
• Sub Inspector in Delhi Police
• Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF
• Assistant Sub Inspector in IO
The candidates will be recruited to the above mentioned posts by churning them through a four stage test which will include two written tests, an interview test and the final medical examination of the candidate. The final merit list will be made keeping in mind the performance of the candidate in all four stages.
Here are the important dates for the SSC SI Application form 2016:
• Date of Release of Notification for the SSC SI Exam- 9th January 2016
• Start of Form filling process – 09 January 2016
• Last date to fill the online SSC SI 2016 Application form – February 2016
• Tentative date for SSC SI Exam (PAPER 1) – June 2016
• Result declaration - July 2016
• Date of SSC SI Exam (PAPER 2) – August/September 2016
• Result declaration – September 2016
There were a total of around 2900 vacancies in the previous year which might not change given the shortage of the Sub Inspectors in the CAPFs.
Eligibility Criteria for the SSC SI Exam 2016
The candidates who are interested to fill the SSC SI 2016 Application Form should first know about the eligibility criterion which is followed by the SSC which is as follows:
• The candidates must be aged between 20 year and 25 years with both ends included. The reserved category candidates will enjoy the age relaxation up to 3 years.
• The candidates must be a graduate from any recognized university by UGC in any stream.
• The candidate must be an Indian subject.
• For the SI in Delhi Police, the candidate must also possess a driving license for driving the LMV.
Examination fee for the SSC SI 2016 Application form:
The candidates belonging to the general category would require paying a sum of Rs.100 as the examination fee whereas the candidates from the reserved category as well as the female candidates are exempted from the Application fee.
Requirement for the Physical Endurance Test (PET):
The candidates must keep in mind that they will have to appear in a physical Endurance Test after the interview gets over where the following criterions would be needed to be followed:
For male Candidates:
• A maximum of 16 seconds to complete 100 meter race.
• A maximum of 6.5 minutes to complete 1.6 km race.
• Up to 3.65 meters in long jump to be cleared within 3 chances.
• Up to 1.20 meters in high jump to be cleared within 3 chances
• Throw a 16lbs shot put at a minimum distance of 4.5 meters in 3 chances.
For female candidates:
• A maximum of 18 seconds to complete 100 meter race.
• A maximum of 4 minutes to complete 800 meter race.
• Up to 2.70 meters in long jump to be cleared within 3 chances.
• Up to 0.90 meters in high jump to be cleared within 3 chances
Process to fill the SSC SI 2016 Application form:-
The candidates must note that the Application form for the SSC SI Exam 2016 will be released on the website of SSC and hence it is required on the part of the students to know the process involved in filling the Application form which is as follows:
• The candidates are required to visit the official website of SSC which is ssconline.nic.in .
• On the website, the candidates can find the notification regarding the Application form for SSC SI 2016.
• Furnish the information asked by the application form and upload a recent passport size photograph.
• Pay Rs.100 as Application fee either through net banking or through the Credit card/debit card.
