SSC SI Application form 2016: All you need to know
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) the competent authority for the conducting the examination under the concurrent list will be releasing the advertisement cum SSC SI Application form 2016 on 09th January 2016 following which the candidates will be able to fill the Application form online by visiting the official website of SSC. There were a total of around 2900 vacancies in the previous year which might not change given the shortage of the Sub Inspectors in the CAPFs and other central Para military forces.
The SSC SI Exam 2016 will be conducted in two stages for the following posts named below:
• SI in CAPFs
• SI in Delhi Police
• ASI in CISF
• ASI in IO
Important Dates for the SSC SI Exam 2016
• Date of Release of advertisement cum notification for the SSC SI Exam 2016- 09th January 2016
• Commencement of the Application process– 09th January 2016
• Last date of SSC SI 2016 Application form submission – February 2016
• Tentative date for SSC SI Exam (PAPER 1) – June 2016
• Date of Result declaration - July 2016
• Date of SSC SI Exam (PAPER 2) – August/September 2016
• Result declaration – September 2016
Eligibility Criteria for the SSC SI Exam 2016:
The candidates who are interested to fill the SSC SI 2016 Application form should keep in mind the Eligibility criteria before going on to fill the Application form. The criterions are listed below:
• The age of the candidates must be between 20 year and 25 years with both ends included. The reserved category candidates will be given the age relaxation up to 03 years.
• The candidates must hold the bachelors degree from any recognized university by UGC and approved by the AICTE.
• The candidate must be an Indian subject.
• For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, the candidate must also possess a driving license for driving the LMV.
Examination fee for the SSC SI 2016 Application form:
The candidates belonging to the general category would require paying a sum of Rs.100 as the examination fee whereas the candidates from the reserved category as well as the female candidates are exempted from the Application fee.
Procedures involved filling the SSC SI 2016 Application form:-
The candidates must note that the Application form for the SSC SI Exam 2016 will be released on the website of SSC and hence the candidates should know the process involved in filling the Application form which is as follows:
• First of all the candidates need to visit the official website of SSC which has been given here ssconline.nic.in
• Once you have accessed the website, try to find the link of the notification regarding the Application form for SSC SI 2016. The link will read ‘SI Application form 2016’. Click on it.
• The Application form will demand the candidates to furnish the information regarding their eligibility. Furnish the information asked by the application form and upload a recent passport size photograph
• The candidates will also have to pay Rs.100 towards the Application fee either through net banking or through the Credit card/debit card.
