SSC CHSL 2016 Details Here
The Staff Selection Commission is the official conducting body of the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination for recruitment of prospective candidates for Data Entry Operator, Lower Division Clerk and Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant posts. The conducting body is yet to release the scheduled date of the SSC CHSL 2016. This is an all India level examination for about 6,590 vacancies for the posts of DEO, LDC and Postal/Sorting Assistant. The SSC CHSL 2016 will be a written test conducted offline.
Eligibility Criteria
- The
candidates must have given their 12th class board examination and passed from a
recognised board.
- The candidates who are atleast 18 years old and upto 27 years old are eligible to apply for the SSC CHSL 2016 Exam.
Application Form
- The SSC CHSL Application Form 2016 will be released both online and offline. Candidates can choose the mode of applying based on what they are comfortable with.
- There are no application charges for female candidates.
- The offline form can be obtained with an application fee of Rs. 100 and the online form has the application fees of Rs. 100 as well.
- Those applying online can pay using internet banking/debit card/credit card.
- Those applying offline will be paying through CRPS stamps costing Rs. 100.

SSC CHSL 2016 Selection Procedure
- The selection procedure of the SSC CHSL Exam involves a two stage exam in which the first is the written exam followed by a skill test.
- The candidates need to clear the written exam with the minimum cutoff marks in order to be eligible to take the skill test.
- The skill test will involve a typing test which the candidates need to clear in order to be successfully recruited for the available vacancies.
Exam Pattern
The written test has four sections –
1. General knowledge
2. English language skills
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. General intelligence
The candidates need to attempt all the 200 questions in the allotted time of 2 hours.All the questions will be objective type.
They will each carry 1 mark making it a total of 200 marks.
