On 13 February 2016, the tier I of SSC CGL exam was re-conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. The exam that was conducted in many parts of the Northern region apart from Delhi faced many printing errors in the question paper. But, the paper has been re-conducted and now the tier II of the SSC CGL exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of February 2016. Only those candidates who shall score the qualifying marks in the Tier I exam will be eligible to appear in the Tier II exam.

SSC CGL 2016 : Tier II Exam Pattern
Candidates those who hope that they will clear the tier I exam can help themselves with the exam pattern of tier II of SSC CGL exam. The paper has 03 subjects which are discussed below:
1. English Language & Comprehension: It has 200 questions for 200 marks.
2. Quantitative Abilities: This subject carries 200 marks for 100 questions.
3. Statistics: This subject also carries 200 marks for 100 questions.
The question paper of SSC CGL 2016 tier II exam carries objective type questions which have to be attempted in a time of 02 hours. The paper carries 400 marks in total. There is a penalty of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer in paper 2 while 1/2 marks will be cut for 1 & 3 paper
SSC CGL 2016 Selection Criteria
The candidate has to clear the cut off marks, for both the tier I and tier II of SSC CGL 2016, which will be decided by the commission. Post scoring the required marks, the candidates will be called for personality/ computer /skill test. The performance evaluation candidate will be done by the commission and the decision is taken through a cumulative score calculation algorithm. The interview will help the commission in delimiting the candidates and thus only capable candidates will be selected.
SSC CGL 2016 Result:
The result for the SSC CGL tier I exam will be issued in the month of October 2015 while the final result will be out by December 2015. Post declaration of the final result, the candidates will be called for personal interview.
