Spray Mop: Is an Effective Cleaning Tools

by Rubi Ahsan Associate S.E.O Consultant

I grew up in an impeccable house. Despite the fact that my mother had a full-time job, our windows were clean and the grout in our bathrooms was free of mold. The magazines were never allowed to be at home at our coffee table. We had few trinkets. The gifts of our family in Russia were carefully kept in a drawer. "These things accumulate dust," my mother said.

He had to take his word for that. The accumulation of dust was for me a theoretical phenomenon until I left home and realized the extent of my domestic incompetence. Like many people, cleaning, especially the mop, is so repugnant to me that I put it off for centuries, even if it means that I can no longer receive guests. I've thought about putting the money together for a cleaning woman, but in New York City a cleaning lady is more likely to be an immigrant woman of a certain age; in other words, for me, a mother figure. It would be almost as uncomfortable to let one of these women see my apartment in its purest form, since I would be inviting the real Mrs. Blair to dust and see what's going on under my bed.

But enough! I want to live differently. I recently searched the market for devices that would be an improvement over my off-brand sponge mop, and maybe even make the task more acceptable. Mops, I discovered, now they are roughly divided into two categories. There is a traditional style in which you splash in a bucket of soapy water and squeeze. These can be sponge mops (where the cleaning surface is a sponge) or rope mops (where the end of the company is a rope head of Medusa or other ropy material). Then there is what I call the new generation of mops, which allow you to eliminate the bucket completely. These have flat heads to which disposable cloths or pads are attached. Either the cloths are soaked in cleaning fluid (like baby wipes), or you mount a container of cleaning fluid in the mop and press a button on the handle to dispense the liquid (it comes out of a nozzle just above the mop head and fall to the floor right in front of your mop). When the rags get dirty enough, throw them and replace them; therefore, there is nothing to rinse or drain. (Cleaning fluids that come with state-of-the-art mops have ingredients similar to other brand-name floor cleaners.) If you prefer brands from health food stores like Seventh Generation or another eco-friendly concoction, you will have to buy it separately and pour it on the floor. same.)

There is also a third type of wet cleaner for hard floors: the combined vacuum cleaner / wet cleaner. These devices, which cost between $ 100 and $ 250, spray cleaning fluid and have built-in scrubbers for hard floors. They also work as conventional vacuum cleaners and have the size and shape of a small foot. I did not try them because, with their much higher prices, dual function and large size, they seemed to belong to a different category of cleaning tool, but readers may want to take them into account.

Methodology:

Thanks to my landlord's non-conformist decor scheme, my apartment has three different types of floors, each one harder to clean than the next. The kitchen is made of large, smooth and square tiles, of the type of public elementary schools. Another room has vinyl floors with a textured surface, slightly dimpled. And the bathroom floor is the lowest level of cleaning hell: small beige tiles surrounded by light colored grout.

On each of these surfaces I subjected the cleaning implements to two tests. One was the orange juice test, in which he poured juice on the floor and let most of it become dry and sticky. Due to my wavy and wavy kitchen floor, part of the juice was mixed usefully in small puddles, which allowed me to also test the mop's absorption capacity. The second test was the cat litter test, in which I spilled cat litter on the floor and sprayed water on it to melt and harden into a stubborn mess.

When I tried a given Spray mop, I considered its absorption capacity (can it cleanse serious spills?), Convenience (how far does it have to bend and how hard must it press to twist it?) In the case of the spoon, it is easy to apply liquid cleaning and changing the fabrics?), the effectiveness of the cleaning surface of the mop (is it abrasive enough to scrub the sticky and persistent material and flexible enough to get into the cracks between the tiles?), its ability to reach the 3 in 1 Spray Mop Kit and Buy 3 in 1 Spray Mop Kit, Floor Mop Set with 5 FREE Accessories: 2 Reusable Microfiber Mop Pads for Wet/Dry Vinyl, Hardwood, Laminate/Tiles Floor Mopping/Cleaning, 2 Window Cleaner Pads and 1 Glass Wiper: Wet Mops - ubesto.com FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases.
