Sold a large RV to a distant buyer? Let an RV transport company deliver it for you
Delivering
your RV to a distant buyer can be a hassle – let an RV transport company do it
for you. Few people have the privilege of taking time off work to get the RV to
the buyer. That’s when a professional transporter comes into play. You do not
want to spend your vacation time delivering it and getting back home. Choosing
the right vehicle shipper can be affordable, safe, and secure for both you and
the buyer. Door to Door Transport is
a major player in the game of RV transport and we will come to your rescue as
fast as you need us.
Our staff will determine the cost of driver pay, fuel, insurance
of your choice, food and room for the driver, getting the driver back, permits,
tolls, and plates for the RV. We will determine the type of your RV. Each RV
move is different from all others. Mileage for the time of year and the type of
truck are calculated next. All other options are explained and you will pay for
only those needed and selected. As a rule, the driver will give you a call
within 24 hours of both pickup and drop off to make sure things are in order.
The driver and you will inspect the RV for both body and mechanical conditions
and note any if present. You can learn more by visiting the FAQ page and First
Time Shipping page on the RV transport company website.

The steps you need to take to get your RV transport quote and get
it on the road are simple.
Once the paperwork is submitted properly to the RV transport company and you get a quote, pickup and delivery dates will be scheduled. Once assigned, you will be notified of all details of the transport. You will need to prep your RV adequately before the driver arrives. At that time you and the driver will do a detailed RV inspection from top to bottom. Both parties will sign the paperwork that will travel with the vehicle to its destination. Once delivered, the RV will be once again inspected before it is released.
Keep in mind that traffic, weather, and road conditions play a role in transport. When they are ideal, it may get there faster. When they present problems for the driver, it will most likely cause a delay. For general purposes, a 500 mile trip will take 1 to 3 days travel time. Expect 2 to 5 days for 1,000 miles and 4 to 8 for 2,000. Nationwide coast to coast can take one to two weeks. These estimates do vary and the company dispatch office will keep you posted in real time.
