Social Media Networking - How to Promote e-Commerce Business on Facebook

In February 2014, Facebook reached 1.23 billion users worldwide making it the biggest market place to promote all kinds of businesses like e-commerce. But there are not many people who actually know how this is done. To solve this problem, there are many marketing jobs in Pakistan who work day and night to promote e-commerce businesses over the social media sites such as Facebook, twitter, and LinkedIn.

Facebook being the most popular social networking site and all kinds of users including children, students, women and adults are using it. Facebook provides an attractive opportunity for investors and business owners to advertise their business and products on Facebook.

Step 1 - Register

If you don’t already have an account, first thing you need to do is register on Facebook . The registration process is simple and totally free. Once you do that, start building profile by adding friends in your friend’s list. Now it’s time to start socializing with them, best way to do that is by posting interesting comments and sharing posts and videos.

Step 2 – Start Advertisement

There are two ways to advertise your products on Facebook. Either you can advertise yourself for free or you can pay Facebook for this purpose.

The free method includes the page and group creation in which you create a page or group related to your product or company. You provide all the related details about your product or company and ask people to join and follow your page. As soon as they join your page they will start following your page status and updates.

Step 3 – Increase Likes

There are more than one ways to increase ‘likes’ on your page, more likes your page means more people are following it.  This will make your task much easier. There are also few social media experts out there who will perform this task for you in return for some cash. They will increase your likes in thousands within a matter of few days.

However, if you are not looking to spend money, your friends and social circle will play a very critical role. You can ask them to invite their friends and spread the word as much as possible. This will make a big chain, and people will start joining your group or page. This will give your e-commerce business much needed publicity, and slowly and gradually your company will start gaining success and becoming popular.

Step 4 - Promote through Ads

Facebook takes a small fee for placing your ad for a specific time. This add will be viewed by millions of people on Facebook. This procedure is very simple, all you need to do is set up your goals that require information about you and your company. Then provide information about the product you intend to advertise. The information should be precise and accurate, and presented in a way to get attention of the viewers.

Next thing you need to decide is the duration, meaning how long the ad will appear. Design your ad with Facebook’s advanced tool facility and set your budget accordingly. Ads can be placed either on daily, weekly or monthly basis on Facebook.

You have an option to advertise your ad to your social circle that includes your family and friends or you want to target different related products or companies through providing keywords or you may just simply display it all over Facebook.

Marketing jobs in Pakistan are currently on a boom right now because many overseas companies are outsourcing e-commerce business promotion and marketing work to south Asian countries like Pakistan.
