Small Businesses Get Funding Boost at Mega-Business Summit

by PRC Agency PR

Eight small businesses in Southeast Michigan, all clients of QT Business Solutions, will participate in the event, sponsored by QT and the Greater Pontiac Community Coalition/Committee of 50, and joined by Comerica Bank, Huntington Bank, Flagstar Bank and PNC Bank. The business honorees will learn about the loan process and about services available to help small businesses succeed.

The event will kick off Friday morning with an opening by Pastor Douglas P. Jones, the president of the Greater Pontiac Community Coalition/Committee of 50. The Greater Pontiac Community Coalition is a federation of over 190 Oakland County individuals, community groups, businesses, politicians, and clergy who have pooled their resources and talents to address the needs of individuals and the community. Long established groups as well as new associations, work together, under one umbrella, to see that they all meet their goals without duplicating efforts in the community.

The purpose of the event echoes the GPCC's mission to bring a greater awareness and education about business funding financial literacy for emerging businesses and to support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts.

Guest speakers include Michigan Rep. Brenda Carter, Pontiac Mayor Tim Greimel, Pontiac's Economic Development Manager Deborah Younger and representatives from Oakland Business Forward and other agencies. Representatives of the bank will be on hand to speak and meet with the participants.

Sessions include breakout time when participants will get help preparing a pared-down business plan with financial projections. Business plans are crucial for the lending process because they help define the business concept and show its viability. The businesses being assisted include a home renovation company, a Certified Nursing Assistant training school, an online kitchenware company, a premium handmade pickle business, an event decorating business and others. Two other honorees who will speak include Dr. LaCesha Brintley, who used QT's services to open her laundromat in a neighborhood in Detroit that had gone months without one, and Toni Porter, creator of unique candles and home fragrance products.

QT's Founder and President Tina Williams will also speak. The summit is a dream of hers that she has worked to bring into reality after 20-plus years of helping small businesses navigate the funding process. QT Business Solutions, based in Southfield, Michigan, but serving a national clientele, has helped scores of businesses get millions in funding in its 12 years as a business entity, though Ms. Williams has been doing the work as a side business for more than 20 years.

QT also offers a host of other programs that can help beginners and experience entrepreneurs alike. For more information, find QT at https://qtbizsolutions.com or call 248-780-1188 or 877-569-8911 for a free consultation.
