Should I Choose A Personal Trainer Near Home or Work?

by Neighborhood Trainers Finding a trainer is a personal choice

This is a hard question to answer. It is sort of like the question: how long is a piece of string? So here are a few things to consider when you’re working it out.

1. What sort of commitment person are you?

How do you manage with a commitment?  If you have a gym membership, do you use it?

As trainers in New York City will tell you – this is a commitment so you want to be sure that it is going to fit into your day. You will need to show up when you have a session otherwise you might as well rip the cash up.

2. When does your motivation kick in best?

If you travel into the city every day and don’t get home until after eight, Westchester personal trainers will tell you this isn’t the best time to make a training session. You’re tired and hungry and not receptive to much other than relaxing. It also might be too close to bedtime to really get your heart rate pumping.

3. Morning person or evening person?

Some people know that if they don’t exercise in the morning, they will not do it at all. Others use it as a transition from work to play, knowing they can relax properly having had a great work out at the end of the evening.

4. How much time do you really have?

Your workout session needs to be conveniently on your path through the day. If you have time in the morning because everyone is busy and you get up and go, that might be better than trying to squeeze in a workout after work, before children’s commitments and between having some sort of social life.

This is a decision you have to make for yourself. The thing is to remember how great you will feel afterwards.
