In searching for a seo professional or agency, you have to be diligent in picking the right skill with the right professional. Sure, you have to factor in the seo company like razwerks, who is actually working on your campaign, how much they charge, and what kind of seo methods they use to get your website found on Google, but ultimately your hiring the person or company you’re talking to or dealing with. 

As long as all other things are equal, you want to make sure the person you are hiring is somebody that you can work with. All promises aside, will you be okay working with this seo professional or agency for the next year or more, or do you foresee issues down the road.

Any San Diego SEO expert can tell you what you want to hear. That is a red flag if that is all you are hearing. Unless you yourself are a SEO professional, or somebody who has a good amount of experience in running a campaign, then the seo company you are hiring should be telling you things that are challenging your opinion. 

They should be telling you the unvarnished truth. They should be telling you where what you heard or read is wrong, why, and explaining the reality of the situation. They should be telling you why your website will not rank in 3 months on the first page because you have a brand-new site that is a big unknown in the eyes of Google.

While many of us don’t want to hear these things, trust me, my initial reaction would be the same, this is what you want. An honest and reputable company. 

The right seo company that you do want to work with will clear up your misconceptions, and give you the right goals, the right plan, and the right time frame, and then be aggressive about achieving it. It’s reassuring to want to hear something that will align with your own beliefs, but in an area where even seo professionals are sometimes in the dark because Google is an ever changing entity, how would your knowledge not being a seo professional, line up well with somebody that is a professional in this field, in the trenches every day, getting their clients results?

You should expect to hear things you don’t like, followed by things you do like. Just like how when you are in the dating world, listening to the guy that has all the right answers for everything, and all the right lines to tell you that make you feel good, this is the version any girl would dream of when they think about the ideal guy. 

But then once you’ve been in the field and you’ve had experience, you start to realize this is the type of guy that 9/10 times ends up being the wrong guy. Same thing with hiring an seo professional or seo company! Look for the ones that tell you the truth and the ones that have a good reputation and you should be fine!
