Screen Print Lapel Pins
Screen print lapel pins or also known as offset printed lapel pins are excellent choice if your original art has a color gradients or, you do not wish to have the thin metal lines separating the colors and text. These lapel pins are created by printing your art on paper and then applying the paper to a thin metal pin. Epoxy is placed on top of the paper.
The art is then printed on vinyl, mylar or other substrates. These images are then put on the metal pins by hand. It is possible that there may be a slight uneven edge on one or two sides but this is usually less than 1/64-inch and usually not noticeable.
Screen printing is used for complex designs and colors. It offers full-color reproduction with crisp coloring and details. Gradient or Gradual Color Changes are also possible using screen printing. Usually Screen print lapel pins is from customer supplied C.M.Y.K. artwork with a minimum of 400 dpi resolution.
C.M.Y.K. stands for Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black and is a color model in which all colors are described as a mixture of these four PMS process colors. CMYK is the standard color model used in Screen printing for full-color documents. Because such printing uses inks of these four basic colors, it is often called Four-Color Process printing as well.
Screen printed are virtually the same as Photo printed lapel pins, but less colors are used. The plus side to a screen printed lapel pin is that you can match your company or team colors exactly since only one or two inks are used.
