Canada invites skilled immigrants to the country through its many programs. One of its most famous programs is the Provincial Nominee Program which came into existence in the 90s. Canada intends to invite a million economic immigrants into the country before the year 2022.
It was through the Saskatchewan EOI system that the draw was held.
Saskatchewan EOI system-
EOI is the short form of Expression of Interest. This is not an application, but is simply a pre-application. To submit the EOI, the applicant should first create their profile in the Saskatchewan immigration portal. Once the profile is generated, the aspirant immigrant then submits his application. The profile remains in the portal for a period of one year. There will be no duplication of EOIs. This EOI profile serves for both the Occupations in-demand program and Express Entry program. The profile will be ranked based on the score they have achieved. The score will be demarked based on 5 factors –
i.                     Age
ii.                   Education
iii.                  Experience
iv.                 Adaptability
v.                   Language Benchmark.
Each of the factors mentioned above are important to determine the score of the profile. There is a set minimum and maximum score that is defined for each of the above mentioned factors and the score will be determined on few set parameters. It is important that the applicants’ job domain should be part of the current list of hot Jobs in Saskatchewan.
Such applicants who have been successful in clearing this evaluation process will receive an Invitation to Apply from the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program. Once they get their ITA, the applicants will have to submit their application. Such applicants will get a nomination from the province. Such a nomination helps the immigrants apply for Canada permanent residency with the IRCC.
