Samsung Launches its Slimmest Smartphone Galaxy A8

Samsung unveiled company’s slimmest phone ever Samsung Galaxy A8 on Wednesday, which is just 5.9 millimeter (0.23 inch) thick and weigh 151 grams.

Samsung this week released its Galaxy A8 in China, where it can be purchased at a price of $ 515. Company till now has not announced the launch date of Galaxy A8 in Indian market.

Galaxy A8 is slimmer than its previous version, the A7 which is 6.3 mm, as well as S6 (7.1 mm). The phone has 5.7 inch OLED screen with resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It is powered by 1 gigahertz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It has 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with wide angle shooter; it also has fingerprint sensor and a hand wave detector. And it has a huge battery of 3050mAh.

Still Samsung Galaxy A8 is not the slimmest phone available in market, other phones like the Vivo v5 Max and Oppo R5 are 4.75mm and 4.85mm thin respectively.

In the meantime, Samsung is also working on its much awaited Note 5 and S6 Edge plus, which are expected to be launched in market in the mid of August.
