Our women only self defense classes that we began in July 2015 aims to help the women in our class how to protect yourself.

Prevalence of Violence Against Women In the United States
In the United States, it is shockingly common for women to be the subject of violence. And too many times, women lack the self defense skills that would have helped them escape the situation.

In the United States:

  • 600 women each day are sexually assaulted
  • 1 out of 5 women will be a victim of sexual assault in their lifetime
  • Women aged 12-34 are at the highest risk for violence
  • 1 in 4 women on college campuses will experience some kind of sexual assault With these statistics, it is vital that there are more self defense classes for women available, so that we can teach women to defend themselves against the dangers that lurk in the world. Our women only self defense classes aim to do just that.

Non-Physical Tips for Women Self Defense As a part of our women only self defense classes, we teach women tips that will help them avoid making themselves an easy victim for predators without needing to use physical violence. Some of these tips include:

1. Don’t work alone, for example if you are a real estate agent do not conduct open houses alone
2. Do not go to grocery stores or gas stations alone late at night
3. Do not walk on campus alone at night
4. Do not walk while on your phone for very long
5. Pay attention to your surroundings at all times

With these tips, you can make yourself less of an obvious target. We teach all of this in our women only self defense classes. By taking self defense classes, specifically women only self defense classes, you will learn how to defend yourself in the case that an attacker tries to come at you.
