Role of Schooling in Shaping Children's Future

by Diksha Sharma Blogger and writer

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. Traditional schooling emphasized on studies and had a negligible amount of co-curricular activities, whereas modern-day education and schooling gives equal importance to extracurricular activities and academics. Those days are gone when parents decide upon the school based on proximity to home, stringent budget, and from other known people opinions. Today it is all about researching about a school and evaluating each option in-depth.

Parents now want a school where the overall development of children is focused rather than treating kids as rank-procuring machines. It is difficult to find a school which makes education interesting for children. But introducing diversity in the teaching methodologies will make a massive difference to the approach the child develops toward education.

A primary classroom is an environment in which a child picks up first lessons for learning, which begins with observing other children and their teachers. Application of learning skills in the future depends on the ability of the child to see and comprehend the teacher's information and instructions.

An academic examination should not be treated as the final verdict or do-or-die situation for the child. Ideally, it has to be restricted to its importance in serving as the yardstick of a child's understanding and successful expression of the concepts.

Academic scheduling has to be built upon an overall development approach, and only then will it give desired results. Other than fitness sessions, if schools can add more variety into its nonacademic curriculum by including fine arts, language, games, skill-building, and social welfare programs, it will help children in becoming better human beings.

There are a lot of individuals who have had an excellent academic track record but failed to face the real and more significant challenges in life. Moreover, moral and social values are being lost, and for which, neglection of moral science in the school curriculum can be one of the reasons.

A strong base of schooling can be the best foundation for not only the child's education but also for their future. One of the best CBSE school in Agra is Mount Litera Zee School (MLZS).

Owned by the Essel group, this CBSE school franchise is one of its kinds. It has excellent infrastructure and fantastic staff. The school provides knowledge to the students beyond the traditional boundaries of academic learning. It offers an environment that enhances the learning process by maintaining high standards of academics and co-curricular activities like field trips, litera clubs, sports, Mount Litera Olympiad, and many other events and celebrations.
