Role of NCEMA 7000:2021 Consultancy

The UAE established the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA) in 2007 to work on the capacity of public-private partnerships to respond to crises and emergencies in the UAE. NCEMA introduced its core standard, AE/HSC 7000:2012, in 2012, updated it in 2015 and will continue with its third and final update in 2021.

Business Continuity Management (BCM) is the development of an association's ability to perform critical roles and controls (at minimum) during and after crises, emergencies or disasters that may lead to business disruption.

NCEMA 7000:2021 UAE meets some of the basic requirements of the UAE market. Provide requirements and specifications for use in internal and external meetings to ensure subjects continue to implement curriculum in training and controls, accept legally binding responsibilities, and respond to crises, emergencies or disasters to help protect the interests of recipient groups. Anything that prevents the association from performing its functions or managing it properly.

NCEMA National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority STANDARD Consultancy, has announced the launch of the third edition of the 'National Standard for Business Continuity Management System (Specifications)', AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021 UAE. The main updates from the second edition are:

·         Simplification of the language, structure, and content of the standard to make it more understandable and increase its adoption.

·         Addressing local requirements based on feedback from interested parties, including government entities and other organizations implementing the standard.

·         Aligning the specifications with international business continuity management standards whilst retaining NCEMA 7000's unique identity.

·         Differentiating clearly between the management system requirements and BCMS operations requirements.

·         Introducing guidance text to explain the purpose of each clause and using cross-referencing to clarify the requirements.

The National Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) has supported enhancing this business integrity standard to assist public authorities and their partners in the public sector.

To be able to return to The National Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced the publication of the third edition of the "General Standard (Specification) for Business Continuity Management Systems", AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021.

According to NCEMA, the updated standards have been developed in collaboration with partners. They are aimed solely at strengthening the ability of local business areas to respond to crises and emergencies.

NCEMA distributes an updated version of Business Progress the Executives Standard

Major updates in later versions include:

·         Improving the language, design and content of the standards to make them more rational and increase their adoption.

·         Consider input from stakeholders, including standards-compliant government agencies and other bodies, to meet local needs.

·         Align global business alignment decisions with the board's standards while maintaining the unique identity of NCEMA 7000.

·         Separate management framework needs from BCMS activity requirements.

·         The explanatory text introduction explains the reasons for each statement and its necessity with the help of cross-references.
