On many buildings, mostly flatbed trolleys, maintenance will always be required at regular intervals. Railway guards should be installed for the safety of contractors or employees. On top of this, fall safety devices should also be used as a very important safety measure.

In these days of litigation for any type of accident where the employer is considered negligent, it is important that the company does everything in its power to ensure employees are safe. If the work is done on a regular basis the company may consider installing permanent fencing around the platform trolleys to help with safety measures.

Additionally, harder and lanyard equipment may be required if stairs and platforms are being used. The stiffness and rope are securely attached to the solid structure so that if a person falls to the ground, sharp railings or if they fall down can prevent a low ceiling.

Some buildings do not have a flat roof, but tall stairs or platform trolley may be needed to reach the access point of the building itself. Window cleaning may also require a very long ladder and the safety aspect for the employer should be considered in advance. With a safety harness system, workers are safe and secure and will be able to operate safely in the knowledge that they cannot fall. This makes the task easier and faster as they will get more comfort while doing maintenance work.

Another clever idea for a flat roof is a mobile gate system. This self-closing gate is attached to the existing fencing for easy access. But it has a special security feature that is indispensable. The gate closes automatically without any physical effort. Many people will pass by without even thinking of closing a gate or door later. Safety is guaranteed with this system as they do not need to do anything.

Other areas that need some kind of protection are holes or trenches that are dangerous to pedestrians or workers. There are movable fences that can be arranged around the barrier for periods of risk. Then, when the hole or trench is filled, it can be stored or moved to another risk area. Trolleys and carts are available to make this manoeuvre as easy as possible.

Open doors or delivery zones can also be hazardous areas. With this in mind, security gates are available to warn people not to enter. These come in many widths and can be made to fit the respective doors.
