Children have wandering minds, full of dreams and aspirations. The dreams may range from the really bizarre ones like ‘I want to be a superman’ to perhaps the predictive ones like ‘I’ll be a pilot one day.’ As they grow up, most of these childhood fantasies are left behind, and new dreams and aspirations take up the place. So, what is the role of a school in all these hopes and dreams that a child nurtures in his/her mind?

Well, we, at Vidsan Charterhouse, believe that though it is the parents who play a crucial role in framing the overall psychological make-up of the young minds, the school’s role is also no less. After all, it is the educational institution that lays the path for the children to enable them to turn their dreams into a reality. A school endows the blooming geniuses with the right foundation of knowledge and exposure that helps to lead them towards the right path. Of course, a school can’t make those childhood fantasies of becoming “a superman” come alive! But, it can surely help them inch closer to their realistic dream of being “a pilot.” With that being said, let’s take a closer look at the role played by a school in teaching children to dream big and be the true achievers.

The journey towards success starts with believing in their dreams

Do you know what the biggest deterrent for a dream is? At Vidsan, known as one of the leading IB schools in Delhi, we believe it is when we tell the dreamer that their dreams are just that, i.e., nothing more than a mere dream. We can’t let our children’s morale go down like that, and so, as the mentors of the young minds, we consider it as one of our prime responsibilities to ensure that our fledgelings know we believe in their dreams, as well as in their abilities, to turn those dreams into a reality.

Dreams need constant motivation and inspiration to survive

When children understand that we believe in their dreams, our next responsibility is to make sure that they are constantly motivated to strive to achieve those dreams. At the end of the day, they are children, and we understand that certain setbacks on the path might lead them to question their goals. It is in those moments that we need to inspire them the most to make sure they don’t give up.
