Resource Alam Indonesia - We Produce and Export Affordable Thermal Coal (5000-6500 Cal/kg)

PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk, together with its subsidiaries, engages in coal and methane mining in Indonesia. It also sells high pressure laminate and melamine laminated particle boards; and provides harbor management, electricity supply, and other mining and excavation support services. In addition, the company is involved in the metals and metal ores wholesale, hydropower plant industry, real estate, and trading activities. The company was formerly known as PT Kurnia Kapuas Utama Tbk and changed its name to PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk in November 2003. PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Jakarta Pusat, Indonesia.

Established in 1981, PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk was initially named PT Kurnia Kapuas Utama Glue Industries (KKGI) and engaged in wood adhesive production. In 1991, KKGI performed an Initial Public Offering by issuing 4.5 million shares with an offering price of Rp5,700 per share. Since then, the Company’s shares trade under the stock code “KKGI”. In 2003, the Company changed its name to PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk and diversified into the coal mining industry.

Since 2006, the Company has operated 3 (three) mining locations in Simpang Pasir, Gunung Pinang, and Bayur from a total PKP2B concession area of 24,477 hectares. Total coal production of the Company’s subsidiaries had reached 2.2 million MT in 2010 and increased by 91% to 4.2 million MT in 2012 and 2013, respectively which brought total coal production from 2006 to 2013 to 12.7 million MT.

Though our coal has thus far averaged a calorific value in the low to mid 5000’s, internal estimates tell us that future sites will bring a significant increase in calorific value-usually the biggest factor in price increases.
