Many building materials are attractive having utility for both interior and exterior applications.  Most of these are natural stones having their unique benefits of authenticity and strength. Among all the trendy options sandstone is the widely accepted one for its multiple uses. It is a porous type of natural stone. However, like any other stone tile, it demands regular maintenance.  The tile is exposed to wind, snow, and rain and when used outdoors it will look dirty after some time. Even when used indoors being a porous stone sealing is difficult. It soaks up any sealer. Only a special sealer and its solution will work on this tile. For the outdoor tiles, kill and remove all the organic substances first. Many of these organisms break and dissolve the sandstone. A solution of one part bleach and three parts of hot water kills all sorts of bacteria, fungi or mold on the outside installed sandstone tiles. Apply this solution on the tiles and let it sit on it for 30 to 45 minutes. Now you can rinse it with the bleach solution. Gentle scrubbing with the bleach solution will do the trick.
