If there’s one thing that we’ve all learnt in this global pandemic, it is that we need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones, and these loved ones include all the people and the things we care about. And this may also include the companies, the buildings or the houses we built. We put our blood and sweat into building a brand but often fail to protect it. Of course, there are many reasons for fire accidents, but some of the major reasons are faulty wiring, flammable and combustible materials like chemicals and oils, misuse of electronic devices, ignorance of the staff, etc.

But whatever the reason might be, one should always be aware of the surroundings, especially when at your workplace. Keeping the environment safe at your workplace is everybody’s responsibility, but always being aware and predicting accidents is not very healthy for the human brain and also impossible. We certainly cannot stop or prevent all the fire accidents, but we certainly can keep fire watch guards who are professionals in handling the fire accidents and keeping other people safe at the workspace. This shall definitely increase the expense account of the company but shall keep their employees safe. Employees working at a safer environment always have much greater employee morale which would indeed increase the productivity of the company, which in return would benefit the company.

Now, we all know how dangerous fire accidents can get and eat people alive. And especially when going through a global pandemic, we cannot really afford to cover any mishappening. Recently a very well know company in India, The Serum Institute of India (SII), suffered a loss of over 1000 crore rupees due to the unfortunate fire accident that happened in the month of January 2021 in Pune district. Life of five contractual labourers was taken, fortunately, this incident took place in a building where the covid-19 vaccines were not stored, says Adar Poonawala, CEO of SII. But unfortunately, people still lost their lives and created chaos in the institute.

Therefore, it is necessary to hire a team of fire watch guards, saying that even with fire watch guards, unfortunate events like these occur, as they are inevitable, but the damage that occurred will sure be a lot less. The fire watch guards often work in a team environment where they have shifted, so they cover the selected premises 24/7.

Hiring a fire watch guard is a long-term investment.

The risk of the workplace catching fire is high; it can destroy all the important assets, including the employees; also, there is always a risk of the company losing its market standard value that it has earned over time if mishappening like these keeps repeating. The expense of the company can surely increase by a few percent for hiring a fire watch guard, but it definitely will have a positive impact on the environment. The results of this might not be seen right away, it might even feel useless at first, but it will always come in handy during these unfortunate situations.
