RDTA Vs RDA- How Do These Two Atomizer Tanks Differ?
by Aanya Alberto A geeky girl and Vape EnthusiastIf you have been into vaping for some time now, you have
moved past the online bought e-cigarettes and pre-packaged coils. You are
subjected to the choice between dripping as well as custom coils. Also, every
vaper seems to have an opinion about these.
The common question that may come to your mind is what a rebuildable
drip tank atomizer (RDTA) is and what a rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) is. Now before moving ahead, you must know that
RDTA atomizers have been designed to bridge the gap between RTA and RDA tanks.
Overview Of
RDTA Tank
RDTA refers to rebuildable dripping tank atomizers. RTA tank
atomizers put the tank on top of the buildable deck and use a chimney for
drawing smoke to the drip cap.
Interestingly, it doesn’t need frequent refilling, though
you do trade off flavor with extra space between the coils and drip cap.
RDAs simply do away with the tank. So in its place, the drip
cap gets closer to the coil. This means you can enjoy more flavor from the
vape.
Along with this, it also means you exchange the ability to
be mobile with your vape when using it. Well, it’s a significant trade off you
must consider.
RDTAs bridge this gap between taste and mobility by keeping
the build deck over the tank. It often uses a wicking system and at times a
pump system for pulling the vape juice from the tanks into the coil.
You can even carry enough e-juice as needed and don’t need
to frequent refilling, making you move about freely as if using an RTA, but
without compromising on flavor.
Rebuildable
drip tank atomizer (RDTA) comes with several parts. There is a build deck,
a tank and a housing. Most RDTAs have adjustable air hole allowing tighter
draws and smoother throat hits. The build deck may have two or four posts for
extra coils depending on the model you have bought.
RTA Overview
An RTA or rebuildable
tank atomizer appears similar to the RDTA in that it has a tank for carrying
extra vape juice when vaping.
However, unlike the RDTA, the build deck of RTA goes beneath
the tank and uses gravity for moving the juice down onto its coils.
The smoke gets sucked up to the drip cap through a chimney.
Both RTA and RDTA allow you to carry a good supply of e-juice while you are on
the go.
However, the chimney function on the rebuildable tank
atomizer means extra space between the coils and you. It also means, you will
get less flavor out of an RTA for this minute difference.
Like the rebuildable drip tank atomizer, most RTAs come with
adjustable holes allowing you to customize the draw on the coils. But for the
gravity pushing down the e-juice, RTAs come with more leaking issues than
RDTAs.
Which One
Win- RDTA Or RTA?
Though both RDTA and RTA come with their list of advantages,
RDTA offers more flavor, less chance of leaking, lower chance of leaking, a
nice system, packed all in one.
