- Smoking- When you smoke, you are at high risk of suffering from AMD as smoking reduces the amount of oxygen entering the different parts of your body, including your eyes.
- High blood pressure-Similar to smoking, high blood pressure may also lead to AMD as it does not allow a sufficient amount of oxygen to enter your eyes.
- Diet – If you consume high-fat, high-sugar diets, then you are more at risk of having a medical issue like Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
AMD and its root cause, blue light, are both extremely dangerous yet easily preventable. All you need to do to prevent yourself from the dangers of blue light is to invest in a pair of blue blockers. These glasses not only filter out the harmful blue light but also aid vision clarity.
