PROTECT YOUR NAME ONLINE

by Remove Negative Web Designer

When someone published some negative content online about me, I discovered it randomly. A friend advised me that in order to protect myself and remove my name from Google search, I need to be proactive.

You have to know that if you do not share information about you, no one can identify you and Google cannot rank what they cannot see. Instead of thinking how to remove information from internet, you have to start by thinking how to avoid the appearance of negative content online about you. Therefore be very selective in where, when, and who you share any personal detail.

This is particularly the case in online games or forums since you do not know the real identity of the other players or people involved. Therefore, you have to use always an impersonal user name in such circumstances and never share your real pictures or information with anybody you would not feel comfortable with in your real life.

If you have commercial or professional accounts such as Netflix or cable, you can use abbreviations as your user name. For instance, rather than naming yourself “Bob.truename,” you can use “btruename,” or if you have a very unique name, you can reverse the order.

You can apply the same guidelines when you use email accounts. In addition, you set up some spam guard accounts to use for your public email address. For instance, instead of using “contact@removenegativilinks.in”. That way, it will be easy to remove information from internet if you are compromised by deleting simply the compromised account while keeping your real email account safe.

You can use these methods each time you are requested to display your name in a public location that the robots of Google can pick up and index. You cannot stop these robots from finding you but you can avert them from displaying the real side of you.

When I visited www.removenegativelinks.in for more help, I discovered another tip. In order to protect my name, I tag my content. This means that if you desire to keep publishing content with your name but do not want it to appear in an search engine, you can use a metatag of HTML named <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" />

You use this method only when you own a site and access to the underlying code. This methods prevents most search engines from following the links on your page or cataloging (indexing) it.

You have to make sure that you place the “meta” tag in the top section of the document. It is not compulsory to use the “nofollow” bit. If you leave it out, the search engines will follow the links but will not be able to catalog the page. If you want to stop just Google from cataloging the site, you can change the word “robots” to “googlebot”.

I have to admit that it took time to remove my name from Google search, but the professional team from www.removenegativelinks.in helped me to protect myself and prevent any negative action under my name.
