Pros and Cons of the Yamaha FZ V3 Bike

by Ravi Singh Rana Digital Marketer

Yamaha FZS FI is available in different colours and the pricing meets right into the budget section. The bike is further available with the front brake ABS and dual discs as standard. Yamaha has been making considerable designing changes to the model. This further clarifies the fact that they had had no intention of letting the consumers garner satisfaction with only a single version.

The first version though flaunted raw lines while the second generation model was intentionally sharpened. On the other hand, the new version has been enthused with more bulk to the designing structure.

List of Pros of Yamaha FZS V3

Quality

The properly built quality of the Yahama FZS is one of the crucial factors for long term owners. The paint and parts quality is all speaking for themselves. Furthermore, it gives way to a decent amount of care right from the consumer. The fit and finish of the premium feel with dedicated locks stay intact even through average rider’s complete calendar year.

Commendable Mileage

Yamaha FZ V3 is making use of 149 cc engine. It returns more than 40 kmpl of mileage in the toughest of city conditions. And it takes 50 kmpl on the highway. The topmost figure is acquired when riding between 70-80 kph while riding. This includes stop-go riding and maximum use of the first three gears.

Proper Handling

Yamaha has built-in a great suspension setup of the model. This allows the rider to make sharp turns and change directions without any hindrance. Not only this, the size of the tire is 140mm at the rear. This means that it has got outstanding grip levels especially after riding the motorbike for a few kilometres at average speeds. The complete packaging is worth the praise. The motorbike now comes with 1-channel ABS as for standard level.

Engine

Feature blue-core technology, this bile has 149cc refining engine for optimum city performance. It helps in keeping the mileage level keep up most of the times. The refined engine further allows the rider to take care of the 40 kph speed in the top gear for tight traffic conditions. The same gear will help in taking you to 120 kph of top speed on the highway.

New Digital Console

This is given in to proper odometer reading, trip meter, speed, fuel gauge and tachometer reading. The console further showcases inverted values that are easier to delve in during daylight and looks sporty in comparison to the regular displays.

List of Cons of Yamaha FZS V3

Underpowered

Weight is a positive feature only for city use but topmost power and torque handling delivers to 13.2 HP and 12.8 Nm, respectively for performance. The bike will be struggling to get up to 100 kph while riding. But with the upgrade, the scenario has changed to a whole new level.

Headlight quality

The light offered by the LED headlight is a little low in terms of other bikes. The throw is lower than decent. One will have to switch to more powerful options to garner better night riding quality.

Cosmetic Surgery

The fuel tank is pretty wide with non-proportional extensions, single-seat and odd headlight making through a combination of roughness. The wheelbase is quite compact while the handlebar stays within the reach of the average built rider.
