Have you applied for PNP Saskatchewan and are now waiting for the government to approve your application? Waiting can be an extremely stressful time and time-consuming too - but it is worth the wait.

The processing time for Saskatchewan PNP application is updated every 3 months. This shows the average time it took in that particular quarter to process a Saskatchewan PNP application. Also, the time is calculated in weeks for each category of SINP.

In this post, find out the average time it takes to process 80% of SINP applications. Note that the time starts when the provincial government first receives your application till it is processed.

Processing Times for SINP Applications

  • International Skilled Worker

Starting off with the International Skilled Worker category under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), which permits skilled workers to apply for permanent residency in Saskatchewan from India.

To be eligible for the International Skilled Worker category, all you need is work experience in an in-demand occupation in the province, meet the language requirements, complete a post-secondary education or training program, and get enough points in the SINP points assessment.

SINP processes all International Skilled Workers within 16 weeks - on average. You must have provided all the information and documentation for a successful approval.

If you are already living and working in the Saskatchewan province & wish to apply for PR, check out the processing times of the Saskatchewan Experience category under SINP. This category has sub-categories: Existing Work Permits and Hospitality Sector Projects.

If you’re applying through the Existing Work Permit stream, then you need to have a valid work permit & a minimum of 6 months of work experience in the province.

On the flip side, if you choose to apply through the Hospitality Sector Project subcategory, you need 6 months of work experience at least in the province’s hospitality industry.

This stream under SINP is tailored for those who wish to invest in and operate a business or farm in Saskatchewan. To be eligible for this stream, you must have a minimum net worth of CAD $500,000 & be willing to invest at least CAD $300,000 in a new or existing business or farm.

The processing time for Entrepreneurs' applications is measured from the date that both your application & a third-party financial verification report are sent. This does not include time waiting for applicants to submit.

As for the Farm Owners and Operators applications, the processing times are calculated from the date the provincial government verifies receipt of an application, including the application processing fee and third-party report, to the date they make a final decision.

  • Job Approval Process

If you are wondering “how to find jobs in Canada from India?”, this is your pathway. A job approval letter is a pre-approved letter for a Saskatchewan employer to hire a foreign worker through SINP. Under this, the government checks each Job Approval Form to see if they meet the criteria. Most applications under this are approved within 6 weeks - if they have all your information and supporting documentation.

Once approved, the Saskatchewan employer will be able to add your name to the position to create a Candidate Specific Job Approval Letter. Attach your SINP application with this letter.
