Procedure of VITEEE Counselling
VIT University will conduct VITEEE 2016 Counselling in two stages, phase 1 and phase 2. The phase 1 will be conducted from 9 May 2016 onwards till 12 May 2016 for the candidates up to rank 20000. Schedule of Phase 2 is yet to be released and it will be updated on EntranceCorner. Only those candidates will be called for counselling who qualify the engineering entrance exam of VIT University. There are various stages of the counselling process which are explained in easy language in the following article. Schedule of VITEEE 2016 Counselling – Phase 1
The candidates who have chosen Chennai or Vellore campus for counselling are suggested to book their tickets in advance as the schedule of counselling for candidates with rank beyond 2000 will be updated very soon. Meanwhile the counselling schedule for phase 1 is as follows:
Counselling of VITEEE 2016 – Detailed Process
Shortlisting of candidates for VITEEE Counselling will be done on the basis of All India Rank in VITEEE 2016. A common counselling process will be followed for the programs offered at Chennai and Vellore campuses. The candidates will be required to report in person to the counselling venue. If a candidate is unable to visit the counselling venue due to unforeseen circumstances, he can participate later after informing the officials. In this case, he will be competing for the available seats at that particular time of his reporting. The candidates at venue will be asked to produce all the relevant documents and certificates in originals and photocopy. The list of documents needed at VITEEE 2016 Counselling is as follows:
Seat allotment through VITEEE 2016 Counselling will be done on the basis of following factors – choices filled in the option filling stage, availability of seats, merit list ranking, reservation norms, and concurrent seat matrix. Finally selected (allotted) candidates will be needed to submit a bank draft for Rs.50000 drawn in favor of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore. This fee includes Rs.10000 towards counselling fee which will be adjusted in the tuition fee later on. The fee is non refundable and transferable in all circumstances.

Counselling of VITEEE 2016 – Detailed Process
