JEE Main Counselling will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority. It will provide admission to the qualified applicants in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other institutes that accept JEE Main score for granting admission. Till last year, i.e. 2014 the counselling was conducted by CSAB, i.e. Central Seat Allocation Board. This duty has been overtaken by JoSAA in 2015.

Applicants will be able to fill their choices for the colleges from 25 July 2015 to 29 July 2015. JEE Main 2015 Counselling

Seat allocation will be done on the basis of applicant's JEE Main 2015 All India Rank. Only JEE Main 2015 qualified applicants will be able to appear in JEE Main 2015 Counselling. Details for all the steps that are involved in complete counselling round are given below.

In first stage of JEE Main 2015 Counselling, applicants will have to first register themselves for the counselling round. The registered applicants will then have to fill their online choices for the colleges and courses. These choices must be in the order of decreasing preference, i.e. the most preferred choice must be filled first. It can be done from 25 June 2015. After filling their choices, applicants will have to lock these choices as well. Choice locking must be done carefully as once the choices has been locked, no changes will be allowed in it.

Now Board will declare the seat allocation result for the applicants. Seat will be allotted only on the basis of their All India Rank in JEE Main 2015. Applicant's documents will also be verified by the Board. After the seat allocation in JEE Main 2015 Counselling, applicants will have to visit the allotted institute and complete all the formalities including payment of fees. This is necessary to confirm their seat otherwise that seat will be set vacant for other counselling rounds. If seat is not allotted in the first round of counselling then applicants can appear in the second round and fill their preferred choices, provided that the seat in their preferred choices are vacant after the first round.
