HP Printer Assistant is a Windows software program for HP printers that is installed on multiple printers. Use the HP Printer Assistant to verify the scan, order supplies, ink levels and more. When you open HP Printer Assistant, the printer configuration software window will appear after you upgrade your computer to a new version of Windows. The printer icon will not be available in the Devices and Printers folder, even if your printer settings and window are updated. Connect a printer:
You can access the printer accessories by reconnecting the printer and connecting a new printer. Download and install the current version of the software driver from support.hp.com. You can use the installation CD that came with your printer as an alternative method. Check if the CD contains the driver for your version of Windows.
