POS hardware equipment introduction

To run a store, you need not only enthusiasm but also need a strong POS system that will help you to not be too busy. In order to have a complete POS system, you need to understand the POS peripheral hardware that you will operate in the store.

It is a traditional cash register, the traditional cash register consists of a lot of combined equipment, the above picture contains the invoice machine, guest monitor, keyboard, and cash cabinet. Usually, the purchase of a traditional cash register must be accompanied by the purchase of equipment to buy together. The price is more expensive, repairs are more troublesome. So, with the advent of technology, POS System peripherals are now broken down into function-based, offering customers many options.

Below are some of the common POS system hardware peripheral in the market.

1. Flat Cash register

The cash register is operated by the cashier. The screen is larger and can be operated directly on the screen.

2. Customer Display

At checkout, give the buyer a view of the goods and prices he has purchased.

3. Cash cashier

Used to place banknotes, change, etc., usually, each cash register has only one cash cabinet, the money will not be miscalculated at the time of settlement.

4. Barcode Scanner

When scanning barcodes, there are “desktop barcode scanner” (right) and “handheld barcode scanner” (left), and there are different connection methods, wired and wireless.

5. Invoice machine

The invoice machine will print the purchase information, business information, and checkout date, etc.,

6. Single machine (thermal, dot matrix printer)

The mini list machine is usually used as a simple receipt, for example: as a receipt of order, kitchen out of a single machine, in addition to “electronic invoice” receipt.

7. Programmer Keyboard

You can connect to the POS host keyboard and set the specified functions. Less common in the market, an external POS flat register is usually used to add operational functionality.
