Transportation is an important part of any city. In case of London, the railway network is probably the lifeline of the city.  If you are carrying a backpack make sure it is not brushing against your fellow passengers. It is not the best of experience. The best thing is always to ensure that the bag stays in between the legs while standing in the train. Some people have a tendency to keep the bag on the seat while sitting. This is not appreciated by all, mainly because it takes up space meant for sitting, and also because the bag is put at various places which are not actually hygienic. 

 Crossing the legs while sitting is comfortable for many, but that might result in venturing within the territory of the one sitting beside you. Keep your leg down and sit straight. The public transport is not exactly your drawing room. 

 The rush, especially during the peak hours, to board on or off the train is pretty high. If you are getting on the train, give the ones getting off the chance to do so at first, before rushing in. It is logical as well, since this creates the space you will need to get on the train. 

This need not be said, but there are always those who fail to understand the need to let people pass. You might be taking a longer journey, but not everyone is doing so. Let those who have to get off pass.
