Service quality is the most important part to look at before buying a water purifier. You can check with your friends, family members, relatives, and acquaintances and ask about their experience with a particular purifier brand.

3. Service coverage and speed

You must make sure that the area you are living in, comes under the brand’s service coverage. Make sure on the brand’s website or social media profiles to know how fast they can visit your home when you need a service.

4. Filters cost

The cost of RO water filters varies from brand to brand. So, you must check on how much you need to spend yearly on an average for getting the parts replaced or repaired.

5. Cost of AMC plans

AMC or Annual Maintenance Contracts are mostly cheaper to buy rather than buying the filters and membranes separately every time you have to repair something. Before buying, check for the price of the water purifier’s AMC plan and what is covered and not covered under the plan. If your purifier brand is not offering any, then you can obviously opt for third-party brands which offer an extended warranty as well as annual maintenance. 

Once you have finalized a purifier that can fulfill your needs, also falls within your budget check its dimensions like the length, depth, and height to see if you have enough room in your home to install the purifier. Remember that purifiers must be installed in an area that is easily accessible because it needs regular maintenance and servicing.
