Rajasthan is a gem of a state. It is a full-fledged touristic destination. All the cities are magnificent. Be it Jaipur, the capital, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner etc. All of them are just beautiful. Every city has a unique beauty of its own. Out of all the cities, Pushkar is one interesting city in Rajasthan.

The city literally borders the Thar desert. With the desert adjacent to the city, one might think that it is a pretty dry and a bland city. On the other hand, it is the complete opposite of that. Pushkar is a city if one is fond of beautiful colours, interesting food, great places to explore and experience fun at the level best. The desert actually makes it pretty interesting by having camel rides for everyone and anyone who visits Pushkar. Camel rides mostly happen within the desert. It is recommended, that one should do the camel ride either very early in the morning or in the evening. So that, while one is riding the camel, he or she can experience the most beautiful sunrise or sunset too. The view is just to die for!

Pushkar is a very touristy place. Many tourists flock into the city from all around the world in great numbers. For that, the accommodation in Pushkar is offered in great deals. The hotels of all sorts of affordability is widely spread around the city to cater to all the needs of all kinds of tourists.

The best time to visit Pushkar is when the world famous Pushkar Mela takes place. It happens during the month of Kartik Poornima every year(October/November). It is the time when all the people and colours come into full zest! It is basically a trade fair of the cattle, camels, and horses. They are decorated in the most beautiful adornments. Apart from the Pushkar Mela, there are many other interesting things to see in Pushkar. The most beautiful of all is the Pushkar Lake. This lake has almost 50 ghats, and on almost every ghat, there is a beautiful temple. It is a beautiful pilgrim site. Pushkar is the only place to have the temple of Lord Brahma, the creator of the Universe. No other place has a temple dedicated to this deity. People come to seek blessings and take a dip in the lake to wash their sins away. Camping is pretty popular in Pushkar too. It is an overall a beautiful experience to spend a night or two in the gorgeous tents set right within the desert.

Hotels in Pushkar are pretty much aware of the tourist turn out every year. Hence, they always have their socks pulled up and give the tourists better reasons to come back to the magnificent city.
