Plant And Grow Trees For An Earth Friendly World

by Abhinav G. Movie Enthusiast

Due to tree felling, we lose as many as six billion trees on an annual basis. This has to do with the demand for goods that are made from trees. Writing paper and household toilet papers are an illustration of this, as well as the lumber used to make homes. We all have to assume responsibility in preserving our woodlands even if there are things we have to use that are made from trees.

Arbor Day was created with the intention that we should all be planting trees on that day although truthfully this has had little impact. The reality is, trees are not being planted by most people. If people could do this, it would make a huge impact.

Are you aware that there are approximately 7 billion people right now? The actual figures naturally fluctuate and so this is a calculated approximation. However, we could replace the trees that are chopped down annually if every one of those people did actually plant a tree on Arbor day. We are aware that this is unlikely to occur.

So, planting trees is something you must consider if you are worried about the air we breathe and the planet. I am not confining this to planting trees on only one day each year. How about going out and planting trees weekly or at least monthly? The reason is because someone needs to compensate for all those individuals who are utilizing our resources but don’t want to plant a tree for whatever reason.

Figures indicate that only about 15 million trees are planted on Arbor Day. Based on those estimates, we nevertheless need to take that figure up by a further 5 billion. Unfortunately, this is not getting any better.

Whereas we all have to make the effort to plant trees, I have an idea that could resolve this once and for all. What could truly take care of this problem is if each and every lumber business or tree farmer, by law, had to plant two saplings for every tree they take, so our tree issue wouldn’t be an issue anymore.

We will have to continue to deal with this problem ourselves until there is the political willpower to make these changes. Trying to keep those tree numbers up won’t really take a lot of effort. The number of trees cut down yearly could be replaced if ten percent of the world’s population planted one tree each month. Annually, this would result in the planting of approximately 7 billion trees. In essence, this gives us an additional one billion trees and will go a long way to restoring the levels that are actually required.

Planting a tree is a way all of us save the earth. Bear in mind that we merely need 10% of the people worldwide to commit to this. You’re the only one who can decide if you want to help out.
