A fascinating small town well-surrounded by the most wonderful Nature’s beauty and steeped in Old West Lore known as Fort David is a center of attraction for the tourists all across the world. Davis Mountain State Park is the paradise of hikers and bikers and apart from that the pristine beauty of Nature has been attracting honeymooning couples. Fort Davis National Historical Site:

This is another popular spot and a well-preserved frontier military post with an astounding backdrop on the foot of popularly known Sleeping Lion Mountain. Fort Davis was established in the year 1854. It is a rich heritage site. Over 20 buildings remnants are found and 5 of them have been restored also.

Stone Village Market:

This welcoming market is the perfect spot for a sunset pic. If you are a food lover do not miss visiting this market and do not miss eating cranberry almond chicken salad. There are plenty of drinks and snacks available in the surrounding market with which you can finish off your meals.

McDonald Observatory:


Absolutely calm and free from the light pollution that surrounds the big cities is McDonald Observatory. Situated at the middle of West Texas, it has some of the darkest yet the clearest skies in the North America which makes it a perfect spot for any observatory. The place is a must visit with kids and some of the world’s biggest telescopes can be seen here. Mt.Locke is so majestic that it can be spotted from miles away.

Fort Davis Drug Store:


Again food lovers must visit this site to dine on country-style lunches and breakfasts. The food here is simply enjoyable and banana split tastes great.
