I joined Pinterest a few days ago.
I am still active a lot at other social networks, so I haven’t taken the time to see all the possibilities yet. Still, so far so good!
It’s easy to use. The concept is simple: you create boards where you pin images. How you pin stuff is what makes it wonderful! When you sign up after being invited, there’s a video showing you how to add a bookmark on your browser. After that, when you find something that interests you on a page anywhere, you click on the bookmark, it searches for the images on the page, you choose the one you want to pin, it opens a new browser window, you write a short description, you choose which board to pin the image, or you create a new board, and Voilà! Done!
Believe me, it took longer to type this last paragraph than it takes to pin a new image. The neat thing is, Pinterest adds the link where the image comes from. In my case, I have many videos about online marketing, so I go to my YouTube channel phmoisan, I choose a video, I highkight the text, I click on the Pinterest bookmark, and the text I highlighted becomes the description.
Here are 2 videos I did about Pinterest:
I see Pinterest as a place where people can know in a few seconds what makes you smile, where you are active personally and professionally. It completes any other social network activities you're involved in.
