Pimpri: A Place for Business and Leisure

by Manish Kumar Marketing Head

The Pimpri Chinchwad municipal region is a rapidly growing area that is showing a huge amount of commercial and residential development. The people who live here swear by the region that the infrastructure and connectivity are even better than that of Pune and as a result, residential projects are popping up across the area. Pune city may be doing well in the current real estate business with home buyers making a beeline to the area, but it is not a very distant hope that Pimpri Chinchwad is going to overtake soon. Hotels in Pimpri are already in demand because of the increasing opportunities in the area. Pune hotels near railway station have also shown a rise in their business.

The Pimpri Chinchwad urban conglomeration has rapidly developed itself from just being another industrial town. Global industrial giants like Volkswagen, General Motors, and Mercedes Benz are located on the north side and on the west side is Hinjewadi, which is considered India’s biggest IT park. People working there prefer to live in Pimpri rather than commuting daily from Pune. The 130 km BRT system allows for smooth travel within the region while a system of spine roads and proposed Metro is expected to further boost connectivity. The residential interest here is high, owing to all such facilities, investors, as well as end users, are flocking to Pimpri.

It is not just the residential and investing opportunities that interest someone to come to the area, there are several leisure activities to be done here as well. Hotels in Pimpri are readily available. One could visit the Appu Ghar Amusement Park. It is a very good place to spend quality time with family. Apart from fun rides, the park also gives you a ride back to 80s, as the construction takes you to that era. Another place nearby is Durgadevi Hill. It is good for morning walks and exercises and even for a half day family outing. A very serene place during monsoon is the Mulshi Dam. The picturesque view here is like an escape from hectic city life.

The Bird Valley Udyan is a popular lakeside park offering boating, a jogging track, and grassy lawns. It also has a children’s play area. Of the temples one could visit in the area, Mata Vaishno Devi temple dedicated to Goddess Durga is one of the most visited ones. Sri Balaji Temple is a place of worship that is built on the lines of southern architecture. The Chaturshrungi temple can be visited easily after booking Pune hotels near railway station. The temple of the deity is located on the hilltop for which you have to climb 150 steps one way. It gives an awesome view of the city and is a must visit.
