Shirdi, Maharashtra

Shirdi, a town in Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra is famous as the home of the late spiritual leader and Saint Sri Sai Baba who lived in the 19th century. It is one of the major pilgrimage centers in India and devotees in large numbers gather at the temple complex to honor Sai Baba’s legacy. There is an ornamental marble statue of Shri Sai Baba at the Samadhi Mandir shrine alongside his tomb. You can also visit the Dwarkamai Masjid where Shri Sai Baba once lived and the tree-lined Lendi Garden.
