If you cannot receive payments via PayPal, Payoneer however offers such facilities.  With Payoneer, you can receive payment, spend money and withdraw money easily in any part of the world.

PayPal does not accept several African Countries and restrict most to just “making payments” and this includes Mauritius.  There is a lot of alternatives to PayPal but the best that I would recommend is : “Payoneer”.

Payoneer is a leading global payment company similar to PayPal providing a safe and affordable payment solution worldwide (200 countries and 35 currencies).

Founded in 2005 and based in New York, it is one of the best payment gateways that comply with all the online payment regulations.  As a result, leading Corporations including Google rely on payoneer’s mass payout services.

As a Payoneer card holder, you can use the card to withdraw money anywhere in the world where MasterCard is accepted.

Payoneer card is especially useful for freelancers and affiliates who do business online and for individuals who don’t want to share their personal bank account number online frequently.

There is a huge list of companies working with Payoneer such as Amazon, ClickBank, Papal inc, 2checkout.com, Facebook, Elance and much more.

To have an account with Payoneer, you have to sign up for the Payoneer MasterCard debit card from its website: www.payoneer.com.  There are no monthly or maintenance fees but only a yearly fee which will be deducted from your balance automatically.

Once your application is approved, you will receive your personal card (sent to your personal address). It takes about one month for you to receive your Payoneer MasterCard.

When you receive your card, you will need to “activate” it. Then, go “US Payment Service”.

The US Payment Service is a premium service that allows you to receive payments from US Companies directly into your Payoneer account as a direct deposit transfer.  In the “US payment service”, you will have to mention the reason why you need US Payment Service.  You will also have to give brief personal details including your Government issued ID or driving license number.

A new virtual US Bank account details will be provided to you when your US payment service application is approved.  This will then allow you to withdraw funds via direct deposit straight to your Payoneer card.  The company will provide you with:

  1. Bank name
  2. Account Type
  3. ABA (Bank ROUTING Number)

These details will be used so as direct payment can be made.

If you have a PayPal account, you can link this with your new Payoneer account.  If you don’t have an account, then you would have to open one.

It is advisable that you provide the same information you gave in order to obtain the Payoneer Card so that there is no confusion which may result in refusal of providing you an account.

Open a PayPal account for your “Personal use”.  Be careful not to give any proxy or false address as it may result in PayPal closing the account for false details later on.

Once your account is set up, you can check to see if transfer can be made.  To do this, Log into your PayPal account and click on “get verified” button.  To link your bank account, select your account type i.e. checking.  Then enter the bank account number and the bank routing number you received from your Payoneer’s US Payment service.

PayPal will deposit a small sum of money in your Payoneer’s account statement (which you will be able to see within 2-3 days). Enter the amount provided by PayPal and press on the “submit” button. Verification has been made.  Now, you can withdraw money from PayPal to Payoneer via US Payment Service.

You can now link your Payoneer Master Card with PayPal so as to lift up and sending or receiving limits placed by PayPal on your account.  First of all, Place at least $5 in your Payoneer MasterCard as you will be charged for verification fees.

Open your account giving your Payoneer MasterCard number details. Then press the “add” button. After verification and linking your Payoneer Debit Card with PayPal, all sending or receiving limits will be removed.

Now you can easily receive payments on your PayPal account even if it was not possible to do that before.  You can easily transfer your money from PayPal to Payoneer and a 1% transfer fee will be charged for that.

Then you can transfer money from Payoneer to your local real bank.  The transfer can be made in your local currency and you can withdraw money at any ATM with a MasterCard logo.

If you want to have your Payoneer account just click on the link www.payoneer.com  to get registered now.
