Of the many intriguing destinations, Patna is one. Formerly known as Pataliputra, the city of Pata serves as the capital for the state of Bihar. This city has seen itself develop rapidly in the recent years to grow from becoming a small city to a big commercial city today. It is easily accessible by trains and flights. One of the busiest train in this city is the 12401 Magadh express starting from the district of Islampur in Bihar. This train passes through Patna and makes a stop here where most part of the train is filled up. This temple is the second most visited temple in northern India and sees thousands of devotees each year. If you are a Hindu, you will know of the significance of Goddess Durga. The Patan Devi temple in Patna is believed to be the abode of this Goddess and is therefore regarded to be one of the holiest places in India by the Hindus.



Apart from the temples, there are many more places of interest in Patna which attracts the tourists and travellers. From beautifully maintained botanicals and zoological gardens, landmark monuments, important mosques and museums with ancient artefacts, Bihar simply does not seize to amaze any visitor. Plan a visit to this historic city and feast your eyes on one of India’s fastest growing cities.
