Pack these scrumptious delights for your office lunch

Office lunch has a notorious reputation of being sad and often times it is not packed with same zeal and enthusiasm like breakfast and dinner. Yes, lunch is one of the most important meal of the day but for working professionals, it is also the most ignored part as well. 

Packing a nice lunch for yourself might be a tad-bit difficult but if you wish to maintain a healthy and happy life paying attention to it is extremely important. Here we present some healthy lunch ideas that you can prepare in a jiffy and thoroughly enjoy at your workplace. 

Chickpea Spinach salad 

Chickpeas?? That too for lunch? Well, you can truly enjoy it if you pack it with right ingredients. Add some spinach, onions, carrots, and tomatoes into your salad bowl and have a perfect salad lunch rich in fiber, protein, and carbohydrates. Of course, you can get your regular sandwich and Dal-roti along but adding this salad will make your lunch much more complete.  

Smoky Apple and Arugula Sandwich 

Soups are an ultimate guilty pleasure of winters and pairing them with a toothsome sandwich is the best way to have lunch. All you have to do is get some brown bread, spread smoked apple and arugula over it and add sandwich spread over it if you wish. A sandwich need not be too heavy, you can of course add some veggies and sausages to it but we suggest you keep it as light as possible.  

Tangy Mexican burritos 

Mexican burritos are everyone’s guilty pleasure, so why not have them as lunch? All you have to do is get a wrap (this can be even your Indian Chapati as well). Toss some vegies inside the wrap. This can be carrots, tomatoes, onions, capsicum—whatever you like. Don’t forget to mix all the vegies in avocado cream to give it the desired flavour. 

Pasta Salad in peanut butter 

This one is a must-try recipe and sure to satiate the inner foodie in you. We all know that besides being healthy, peanut butter is also good for health. In order to prepare this dish, you have to toss some red cabbage, carrots, and lettuce in a salad bowl and add your favourite pasta and spread the wholesome peanut butter on top. Pair it up with some roasted whole wheat bread and you are ready to have a scrumptious lunch. 

Tofu and kale pesto sandwich 

This one is sure to make your stomach full. Those of you who are avid sandwich lovers must try this recipe. Pack some vegan tofu, kale pesto, zucchini, carrots, and lettuce in sandwich bread and your super-delicious sandwich is ready. You can apply a little sandwich spread or mayonnaise if you wish.
