The program was designed in 2013 by Miriam Skydell, a pediatric occupational therapist. First it lunch at Bounce U in Paramus, New Jersey and is now running in 15 locations from Connecticut to Florida. This Outpatient pediatric occupational therapy works on building children’s sensory, motor and skills such as balance, core strength, coordination, team building and sportsmanship. It helps children achieve independence in their daily lives.

It offers a fun, practical and functional program that is compliment to applied behavior analysis therapy. It incorporates child in a group session environment to help children master sensory motor and social skills. It works on balance, timing, stamina, bilateral integration, core control coordination and body in-shape awareness by using sensory equipment. Sensory Bounce focuses heavily in social skills development by using a natural play environment, where children will be able to facilitate skills such as eye contact, language, impulse control, turn taking, sensory modulation, frustration tolerance, team building and sportsmanship.
This Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapy can be managed in several place like hospital, house, schools, health center and specialize centre. Additionally Sensory Bounce offers winter and summer camps that include on sensory activities such as paint, bubbles, shaving cream, glue and more. It also run a parents support group which helps the parents to interact with each other and share their common struggles and gain support from each other.
