Outdoors Nature Book Native American Judy Kundert Author Site Launched

Colorado author, Judy Kundert, has launched a new website. This website is focused on Judy’s work as a writer, storyteller and public speaker, including her books Hanging Cloud, Samantha: the Legend of the Whispering Trees and Tressi’s Ten Tips to Get Kids Outdoors and Love Nature.

Judy explains on her website that she was inspired as child by the great outdoors and riding horses in Eastern Oregon. She goes on to say that books opened up her mind to a magical world with her favorites being Little Women, Nancy Drew, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. It is this combination of books and nature that inspired her to become a writer and to encourage young and old to enjoy the outdoors.

Besides the writing Judy is also a Spellbinder storyteller and travels around elementary schools in Colorado telling a range of stories including Native American stories, fairy tales and folk tales. The site explains that Judy also speaks to book clubs, small groups and social service clubs about nature and its part in the enrichment of children and adults lives and she also holds interactive workshops that are interactive, enlightening and fun.

The website features three of Judy’s works including one that is forthcoming in 2017.

Samantha: the Legend of the Whispering Trees was published in 2009 and was a winner in the National Best Books 2009 Awards. This book follows Tressi and her friend Ralf Rabbit as they open up their magical world to Samantha and take her on a journey of forests, forest gnomes, books and magic. This is the first book in the Magical Chest Series.

Judy’s website contains a section where she posts her own thoughts, travel and outdoors ideas and book reviews.
