Outdoor Personal Training Can Happen With Social Distancing

by Neighborhood Trainers Finding a trainer is a personal choice

While the coronavirus pandemic keeps its iron grip on world affairs, fitness enthusiasts find themselves missing the gym and their old workout routines. This is especially true for people who usually utilize personal trainers to keep themselves on top of their fitness game, and some folks may miss the social interaction they’re used to having when working out.

Of course, there are other options for people to continue their personal training routines, since you’ll probably be hard-pressed to find a martial arts personal trainer in New York City who isn’t offering their services online in light of current affairs. Luckily for those who are missing the “real life” experience, with some restrictions beginning to ease up across the country, all is not lost for fitness enthusiasts.

How Can You Train in Person While Social Distancing?

You can still go outside and workout by yourself, of course, by taking a jog, a bike ride, or go for a swim. If you want to find a way to train with your personal trainer face to face again, you may find that some personal trainers may be open to train with their clients in person outdoors, as long as proper social distancing techniques are observed.

Here are some tips you should keep in mind, should you choose to go this route.

·         Utilize parks and other open outdoor spaces

With some restrictions being eased up across the nation, outdoor recreational spaces like parks are beginning to open back up. These can be great places to meet your trainer for training sessions while still respecting social distancing.

·         Continue to take proper precautions

While some restrictions are beginning to be eased up on by local officials, you should still keep your health and the health of those around you in mind. If you are going to be near people, make sure you are still using the right precautions like wearing your face mask and using hand sanitizer when necessary.

·         Keep your distance

Make sure you observe the “six foot rule” if you meet up with your trainer in person.

Many trainers surely miss the in-person aspect of their jobs, as well, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find a personal trainer who will meet with you outdoors as long as everyone involved keeps health and social distancing at the front of their mind.
