But I have also seen many of my friends opting for a doula in spite of having a strong support system. This is my third pregnancy and I have not opted for a doula because I don’t feel the urge. Keeping a doula or not is completely your call so always decide in advance”. 

Grace Mitchell: “We have hired a doula because this is my first pregnancy and I am absolutely clueless. She is a very nice lady and treats me with respect. Sara Oliver: “Doulas are important for high-risk pregnancies and also for women who need additional support. I never had a doula in all my three pregnancies but I have heard people who opted for experienced doulas. All of them had successful and relaxed pregnancies and deliveries. So, yeah, if hiring a doula works for you then definitely go for one”.
